    i would like to know who gave it a 10k valuation from the club - i didn't think we did that sort of thing?

      During the late 80s and 1990s some insurance companys asked for a written valuation (as well as photos etc ) for an agreed value policy. The MOC had a form for this at this time. I was one of the committee members who carried out valuations

        Is this a "well known car" as stated in the ad?

          Back in the day it was, remember the Cabrio appeared 1991. This one was a very early car built by a gentleman Toby Dobson. At this time Marlin were still developing the( Hunter) spec cars, and so the walnut dash, leather custom built seats, trim, carpet, instruments, etc were not available to the home builder. These cars were solid tail and if you wanted an opening boot, a club member the late Peter Hare had put together a set of plans to guide the builder to cut the tail and form a boot lid.
