  • Marlin roadster hood

    Hi
I'm looking for a hood for an early roadster.
Is there someone who makes them ???

    Thanks Paul

    Re: Marlin roadster hood

i think you might struggle based on previous threads round these parts. however i have an old hood (not in good condition but not ripped) that you could borrow to use as a template. its a lwb one but i doubt that would make much difference to the overall pattern, just the length down towards the windscreen.

      Re: Marlin roadster hood

Hi Paul, If your car has still got its original hood you would be better to use that as a guide and get a local trimmer in France to make a replacement. As the Mk1 has a SWB hood that fits up differently at the rear of the body tub a Mk2 hood will cause as much confusion as it solves. The old company that made Marlin hoods has moved onto bigger things like cabin cruisers. My attempt to get them to help a couple of years ago failed miserably.
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!
