  • Marina spring shackle

Anyone know where I can buy rear spring shackles for a Marina. Changing the bushes this morning and one shackle is just about rusted through. Alternatively, has anyone replaced the shackles with some from another car. Escort ones are easily available but I'm not sure about about compatibility.

There is some springs and shackles on eBay item number 251919327242 not very cheap I am afraid but you may be able to get the seller to sell the shackles separately.

Cheers. I saw them and was wondering if it would be worth buying them as spares. I have had one leaf spring snap on me in the 32 years the Marlin has been going. Not sure it'll happen again Think I'll just get the shackle welded as it's a fatigue crack rather than rust on closer inspection having cleaned it up.

Welding does not sound good to me. Invariably a weld is weaker than the original material.

Try ARB,I think they supply the eBay supplier. Here or there
Ford Ubolts are 7/16"?not 3/8Unf so 24 holes will need re drilling and the curve is not ideal.

I know, a nice new bit of metal to start with would have been good, but beggars can't be choosers and it matches the other ones
