      You asked...

      I'm betting that the photo was taken on an ipad or similar. The device stores info about the image in an exif file. In order to get it the right way up you have to remove the exif data - simply open it in an editor, of some description (like photoshop) correct any issues and save with a new name.

        I think its easier to stand on your head or do as I did and just turn the monitor upside down!!
