Find a small, independent, keen and intelligent windscreen installer. That is the hardest part.

A new Cabrio screen can be cut from a Landover windscreen in such a way as to keep the markings. Use the old screen as a template. The latest bonding techniques use specialist equipment to apply the “glue”. Your installer may insist on installing it for you, which is probably a good thing. Modern cars use the windscreen as a structural component. When fitting mine the installer gave me some “paint” which he called primer, with an oversized cotton bud, that allowed me to paint the outer edge of the screen prior to installation.

        Best of luck,
        Paul

PS: You don’t say if you need to remove the old screen. Ask here for more tips if you do.

          Hi Paul
Thank you for that very useful information I have already removed the damaged screen so ok on that thank you
I will do some research locally and find someone who is prepared to cut the Land rover one I have read the notes elsewhere on fitting and will probably try the CBS gunge
but as you say the the committee is still out on that one
          Kind regards

                  Nigel,
I had a new windscreen cut and fitted to my Sportster by http://oldschoolwindscreens.co.uk/. They are in Chertsey, so not to far from you.
They mostly do ordinary tin tops but the boss specialises in hand cut screens for classic cars, etc.
Very knowledgeable and sorted me out.
                  Peter
