  • Replacement fuel tank sender?

I have been contacted by a member who needs a replacement sender unit(the resistor windings have broken up) to fit the ford escort tank on a roadster.

Any ideas of a supplier or an alternative solution welcome.
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!

Sender units do come up on eBay but they are not cheap! eg this one

If you are not in a hurry it is possible to find one at a more sensible price and I picked one up from a German seller for much less. However, supplies will be dwindling and it may be better in the long run to fit a replacement tank such as the Spridget one that I believe a number of Club members have fitted.

How about a look at Jez Cox’s article in Pitstop. Here or there

          Hi Ben

Did your tank sender chappy solve his problem. If not I have one that I modified slightly while experimenting with something to work in a Marlin long range tank. His for the asking - or postage if he can't collect
