  • Windscreen wipers - park position

Has anyone experimented with other arrangements with the wipers, at least to get them to park on the other side of the screen?

I know the Berli bonnet shape restricts too much juggling, but having graduated from a Seven-type kit, where the wipers could be made to park very neatly at the bottom of the screen, I thought at least I could get my blades out of my face!
    Cheers
    Mike

Park position has never been easy to sort on the Berly, but if you are brave and experiment with the arm shape, ie bend it reshape it you should be able to end up with a position you can live with. If you are really keen I know of several Berlys with cable and wheelbox arrangements instead of cortina item. I think it is the Allegro wheelbox that can be used to get the claphand operation.

      Hi Mike,
      Yes it can be achieved.

Remove the end plate on the wiper motor and move the cam gear, probably by 180 degrees or until you achieve the park position you want.

Getting to the end plate is not easy but ....
      Good luck Roger
