  • SVA Pass :)

    It passed

It was a chilly drive this morning with the frost still on the ground, but nice and sunny on the way back, almost warm!

I just got back from the DVLA, all the forms are filled in and I have an inspection on the 30th. I've had to arrange to trailer it there as they won't let me drive it.

      Re: SVA Pass

Congratulations. I was confident you would pass this time. Good luck with the registration process.

I think the Portsmouth bureaucrats make rules up. You aught to challenge them over driving the car there. When Millie was inspected I drove there. They even had to admit that I didn’t need an MOT. On the other hand you don’t want to annoy them.

Can’t wait to see her sprayed up and on the road – even if I only see those exhausts disappearing onto the distance.

        Re: SVA Pass

        Thanks

On the way back from the retest I had my dad in the passenger seat. I put my foot down up a hill and as we hit 70 his hat flew off - oops! Had to turn round and go find it

I actually went to the Theale DVLA centre as they have parking there. Only had to wait 15mins which was good. Anyone in central Hampshire I recommend going there! Inspect ion is taking place in Newbury.

From what I've heard Portsmouth is nightmare for both parking and waiting times!

The woman who checked my paper work didn't really seem to know anything when I asked questions which is a bit worrying so will have to see if all the paper work is OK.

I'm going to run about for a bit before getting it sprayed work out any kinks, colour choice is still on BMW LeMans Blue

Time for post SVA modifications now.

        Thanks,
        Patrick
