    Assuming your car has a cast iron manifold its possible to cut the down pipe under the flage shorten the down pipe and turn out so it exits over the chassis about 6 to 10 inches infront of the footwell.I have used a cherry bomb muff diver(honest thats what its called) and a elbow just in front of the rear wheel,sounds reasnably ok gurgling 6. I would recommend sticking an insulation mat to the wing above the box.

        www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk do "make your own" exhausts with silceners and what not, YKC also sell the bits for the roadster at least but they are slightly pricey imo.

          Cut and welded mine from surplus landrover pipes and used any new silencer I could make fit (Moggy thou one was a bit restrictive)
