  • Berli steering column

Message originally posted by: Malcolm Sherratt
Can anyone help with photes etc?
I have just bought a part finished Berli, the running gear is Mk3 Cortina (with a V6 engine, the steering column is installed and the steering wheel is very close to the dash, thus making it impossible to fit the stalks etc, is this normal?
    Many thanks in advance,
    MalcS

    Re: Berli steering column

    Malcolm,
What you have found is correct. We have found a variety of ways to solve the problem. I have a part cut away dash with the stalks "behind" the dash but easy to reach. Go to one of the club meetings, view the Berlis and see the many other ways to solve the problem.
You will love driving the car when finished !

I have had a bost made see photo saves a lot of work.
You can see the bost fitted behind the wheel. Hole drilled through to fit well and centre bored out to fit over normal column. Lte me know if you need more details.
