  • master cylinder

    i have a master cylinder from a ford ka which fits the cars brake servo the problem is the reservoir has another outlet for the clutch can i blank this off as i have a remote reservoir for the clutch any ideas geoff

    I don't see any problem with blanking it off but why not use it for your clutch and simplyfy your instalation?

      I have a Sierra master cylinder with its own reservior attached to the metro servo, which makes a neat installation - but then have used my original 3 outlet reservoir with 2 blanked off to supply my clutch.
      I simply screwed in 2 long tight fitting self-tapper screws - seems fine after several months.

        Are the internal dimensions of the KA master cylinder the same as your original? If the master cylinder diameter is greater then the brakes might not be up to the job but if too small the brakes will be fiercer.
