  • Bonnet sides

I'm about to get body panels resprayed (off the car). As it's such a hassle getting to eg carb linkages, starter motor, I've wondered about cutting the bonnet sides lengthways below the louvres, and fitting catches so the sides can be removed for access. I've seen a roadster with full length hinges between bonnet top and sides so it all folds up and over. Any ideas?

    Re: Bonnet sides

Peter, I have a roadster with full length hinges, however hinges only give limited access but it is enough to get to plugs and manifold on a V8, you may be better having them fully detachable. Give me a call if you want to have a chat,
