  • Fellow Marliner talking with Boys in Blue

I was travelling between Horsell and Woking (Surrey) on Brewery road on Tueasday this week (not in my Marlin) when what should I see but a Maroon Marlin (think Roadster) pulled at side of road with owner sitting inside and two Bobbies on the beat talking to him (notepad out).

My interest was peaked but could not stop as already a small trail of cars behind Marlin.

What crossed my mind in order of arrival:-

    a) is there a new Marlin owner in my local area?
    b) was he stopped by our finest for; interest, law breaking if so what or helping a broken down driver (other ??)
    c) Must put on Forum to try and find out

Anybody out there know (or want to fess up)?

I think you will find it was Ben especially if it was just before lunch time.

We were on a SHEB outing and I think you will find he was asking the way to the Cricketers.

. Answer to "a" is it depends on how big your area is !!
I it was me and the bobbies complete with helmets were consulting their I phone for directions. But that was Sunday not Tuesday It was amazing how patient the other drivers were being as I blocked the road for at least 5 minutes. The pub lunch was excellent
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!
