  • igniton switch terminals

On the back of my lucas ignition switch are two 'twinned' terminals. I am assuming one of them is for accessories, any ideas which one? sorry if this is a very basic question but I am severly electrically challenged.

    Re: igniton switch terminals

Hi Bob, If you look closely at the back, the terminals are numbered in a clockwise direction as you look at the back.. No 1 will have the heavy brown cable (live in) 2 will have white(ign out) 3 is a heavy white with a red trace(starter solenoid feed) and 4 is the auxillary. When you start the car the switch dumps the 4 circuit while the starter is running to reduce the drain. left click on the key will give Aux feed only..A couple of wires and a bulb will help you to confirm this.
