  • Cabrio Door to Body Wiring and Nosecone Rubbers

Looking at many Cabrio's many members have used different rubber tubes containing/protecting the electric window/central locking wiring.
What is the best one to use and what car does it come from?
Also looking at the nosecone of many Marlins I have seen a rubber seal with a lip that goes over the nosecone that the bonnet sides locate on, this hides the imperfections of the bonnet front edges to the nose cone - Any suggestion as to the best one to use and from whom?

The black PVC sleaving found in many places of the sierra loom works well providing you incorporate grommets where the cable passes through the door as well. Exit near the top of the door then drill through midway between the door hinge cover fixings, which passes the cable into the engine bay area, then drill through the chassis side to get back to passenger area. Tube can be bought from Vehical Wiring Products 0115 9305454 if you don't have any.
Referance to the rubber lip you speak of, I have seen a part in the Woolies catalogue, item R181 looks like it might do. Phone them on 01778 347347 and ask for a sample. Better still why not make your bonnet fit properly!
