  • Patrick and Richard - It's Alive

Congratulations on getting your engine restarted.
it is a lovely sound to here an engine splutter in to life after you have stripped it down and completely altered its setting.

i am getting great pleasure following your build on your web site. Keep it up.
And many thanks to Martin and peter for their updated sites too. I am building a BMW based cabrio, and find little details you guys have already resolved all very useful.

keep up the entertainment, information, and enjoyment.

    Thanks to all
    Mike

Thanks Mike, for anyone wondering what's going on there's a little video off my phone to download here: http://www.msportster.co.uk/itsalive.mp4

I'm pleased that all the part replacements and changes we made resulted in an engine that still works! Also a big well done to Richard who's spliced the BMW fuse box together with the lucas loom we go from Marlin.

We've still got a few tweak to do - theres a small leak in the tank we hadn't picked up and I'm not happy with the fuel lines, might order some Aeroquip to run front to back rather than switching to copper.

    Thank you,

    Patrick
