  • Given Up!!

Yes I've admitted defeat, I don't know enough about cars and don't have the confidence in what I'm learning! But fear not I haven't given up on the Marlin, I've just taken the financial hit of getting someone else to finish it!

So I have been given a list of "missing" parts that I haven't got yet that I need to gather together. Can anyone help me identify the right parts and if possible, best places to get them from quickly for a reasonable price...

reservoir for the brakes/clutch - have people put single/twin/triple chamber reservoirs in? I can see various version on peoples websites I think...

Fuel Cap - I prefer the look of the Aero style but I haven't got any of the fuel tank or parts here to measure up - what size do I need? and do I need anything to connect it?

    Battery Tray ?

    Electric fan?

As always I appreciate the help that you lot pass on to muppets like me!

I'm using a 3 chamber reservoir from Marlin (and Sytec low pressure fuel pipe for the connection to the master cylinder - www.burtonpower.com its not branded sytec but uses the same product code - spec sheet is available here for SVA: http://www.fuelsystem.co.uk/Hosedesc.pdf)

Fuel cap, again check out www.burtonpower.com - I dont remember the size I got off the top of my head but will let you know.

Battery tray, I got the battery clamp from http://www.nfauto.co.uk/battery_clamp.htm - they also do a tray which looks nice, but costs a lot more! http://www.nfauto.co.uk/battery_tray.htm

Electric fan - again CBS curved blade - its actually a pretty sensible noise level: http://www.nfauto.co.uk/cooling_fans.htm

Other places to look for parts:

Aw Andy! At least, as you say, you haven't given up on the Marlin. I guess life got in the way huh? See you with the finished article.
