    Guys,

2nd hand question! As someone is now finishing off my car they've asked a question of me that I don't know the answer to.

Attaching the fuel tank sender unit to the fuel tank? My guy isn't sure he's supposed to be drilling holes in the tank to fix it because then I'll have bits of metal in my tank. I agree that seems like a silly idea. But how else to fix it?

    Answers on an e-postcard please!!

Drilling holes in the tank it what you need to do - no avoiding it really. What I did was stick a vacuum cleaner in there afterwards. There was a lot of other dirt and metal dust in there anyway so it needed a good clean.

I need to seal mine with hylomar blue.

Have a look at Peter's photos (last one on the page) he's using a much better solution that I did (rivnut direct to tank) which should provide a much better seal

    Thanks, Patrick
