  • Converting K series to Carbs

I notice that the race series requires conversion from fuel injection to carburetion. I am looking at doing this on my road car (call me mad if you like, but I have a manifold and webers so it could work out cheaper than the direct to head throttle body route. Physically bolting the carbs on is easy, but what else is required? What happens with all the sensors on the engine when you disconnect the mems?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Peter,
You will need to ditch your current ECU and go for one of the aftermarket versions such as Emerald. This will just control the ignition timing. Talk to webcon about your options or Caterham.

ah right, thanks for the reply, didn't realiseI'd still need to run an ecu of sorts. Thought I'd just be ditching the rover mems controller. Will enquire at webcon and caterham as suggested.

      Cheers,

      Pete
