Can anyone who's built a BMW sportster past the engine and prop shaft stage give me some advice. The donor (E36) 2 piece propshaft is far too long so I have 2 options, cut and weld it or get a new one - whats anyone else done?

I place to start is Proptech Unit81 hartlebury Trading Estate, Hartlebury. Nr Kidderminster Worc. Tel 01299 251247
I had the same problem with the E36 M3 prop shaft, they could not use the old one, but it was used as a pattern for a new shaft they Just need the lenght from the gear box to back axel. Seeing it just down the road from you it should be a good place to state. Perhap you can recomend a good paint shop?

Can't recommend from personal experience however (follow my logic) the man I got my metro servo from supplies all GTMs with donor packs and does a lot of work on Cosworths. He always uses the paint shop opposite him, as (he says) do the local mercedes dealer (can vouch for the fact that there was a newish merc being in the garage at the time). He says they aren't the cheapest but do a good job for the money. Now all I have to do is remember who they are... details after a search on the web are...
