Hello Everyone and happy new year
I wonder if anyone has an old Dolomite sprint axle that they are never going to use. I already have one in my car but want to start a little project and do not want to take my car apart
    Many thanks

    Hi Lee,
My spare one is in the garage next to the box of hen's teeth and above the bucket of rocking horse s**t.
    Good luck with your search!

      Re: Dolomite Sprint Axle

      Hello Lee,
I have one which I intended to re-furbish and fit before I realised that, in the case of the SWB Roadster which I have, it's necessary to 'flare out' the end of the transmission tunnel to clear the strengthening webs in the diff casting. This could fairly easily be done but it would mean moving the seats forward which I don't want to do. The other option I considered was cutting away some of the diff casing but didn't want to risk compromising the integrity of the unit. Shouldn't be a problem with a LWB car unless you are about 6'6" tall and need to have the seat right back against the rear bulkhead.
If interested give me call on 01394 387642 one evening.
