Problem solved. I had inadvertently swapped the winding regulator mechanisms from side to side! The springs help raise the window and now that I have swapped them over I see the mechanisms work...
Steve, no one is disagreeing with you. I guess we are waiting a volunteer to do the work.
I haven't used zeemap, but something in the back of my mind tells me it wasn't what we wanted at the time. However, it may have moved on since then. If you wanted to, you could populate a test map...
...and that's why this forum is so fantastic :)
Steve, no negativity intended, (btw this user is Cameron, mocadmin is Paul) I was just pointing out that like most things that seem a good idea - and I agree that this one is - its not quite as...
Refitting the doors today and everything seemed to go ok - well mostly.
The passenger door glass wont stay up - the regulator just allows it to drop - question is - what have I done? It was working...
Hopefully the final day of paint today. I will then spend a couple of days buffing to get a nice shine although I have to say 2K solid colour does come out nice straight from the gun.
Meanwhile I...
The carb should be a Weber 28/32 TLDM (part number 2256072600) as fitted to the 2.0 DOHC Scorpio afaik. and it should have an anti-dieseling valve. It would also have had a water choke and this has...

I like it Keith. Very much. For my OCDness I might want the grilles more orderly but yes, I think it looks great.
I know all about welsh pubs - so can guarantee that all you hear is true.
Bit of a long shot but...
My compomotive BBS style alloys are in good condition but are a kind of pale grey colour. I have spoken to a reputable stripper (is there such a thing?) and they want £60...
finished the primer layer now, waiting for it to dry off before blocking then put on the nice new top coat.

easiest thing to do is get your own radiator recored, however I had success fitting a honda civic radiator to my roadster and it worked really well. You will have to adapt some tubing to fit but it...
Lovely :)
Fantastic! you will never find your BMW gives you as many smiles per gallon :)
really nice and neat...what is it called..I want one!
the force multiplier of the servo will depend on things like its diameter etc but in general terms servos are designed to give about 3 times more force. Depending on where you look you will find...
No just a solid colour, shouldn't need a clear. Should be good to go straight from the gun or so the manufacturer states.
Paint!
Finally after what seems like years of rubbing and fettling I have begun to paint. Heater on full blast even though the weather is still mild (turn it off when spraying of course!) coat of...
:o I'm sure that wouldn't be allowed! However, the crashed car could be rebuilt (with contemporary parts) and not fall foul of the IVA - after all, it would then be a restoration wouldn't it?
