    Re: Sportster for sale

Does beg the question about passing an MOT if there's a windscreen but no wipers! Unless the screen comes off for the MOT :)

    Sportster for sale

Is this an older Ford based car, has 4 stud hubs and looks like it may have been a V6 at some point. Also wondering if it's the car in the Sporster brochure!

    Re: Marlin Roadster Registration Advice

I don't know if anyone agrees, but the pictures sure do make it look like that car has been on the road at some point. Look at the underside of the cockpit floors, that's road grime surely?

    If...

I remember that sheet with my kit, or something like it, recall laughing about the ‘Luggage space’ figure :)

They do keep jumping out at me! One day I'll be confident enough to drive it! Still got a few things on the list to sort out first, like the brakes, and the fact that it gets stuck in reverse!

    Re: Jrr 929 d

New front number plate mount replacing the weird piece of alloy which was simply held in place by the clamping force of the plate being screwed up tight. I had to drill two small holes each side in...

    Re: Jrr 929 d

A bit of play in the front left wheel fixed by tightening up the bearing and fitting new split pin.
  13. Re: Roadster: 2ltr Ford Pinto engine with fast road cam

Nice car, MK2 with Pinto seems like a good combination.

    Re: Jrr 929 d

Thanks Ben, I'll have a look for that sliding joint to see if there's some adjustment there.

A slightly dished wheel is now a more realistic option since I swapped in a Spitfire gearstick which is...

During the tightening of the steering column clamp I manually turned the front wheels to get the clamp bold in line with the socket, at which time I noticed too much play in the nearside front wheel...

    Steering column to rack.

The lower clamp was loose, allowing the column to move. Here's the disassembly and reassembly of the front to tighten it up. Pic's show the spline fully into the clamp,...

An ‘85 is OK as it’s more than 25 years old, we can squeeze a few newer cars onto the pitch.

We don’t have on site camping because we’re using a school field for the event but we know people come...

Not wanting to hijack the thread but it was a great day, and seeing that pint, reminds me of a coffee that sneaked into a Marlin photo at Kop Hill!

  20. Kop Hill Climb Festival 2019 - 21-22nd September - 10th Anniversary

It’s the tenth year we’ve been running the revival of the early 1900’s hill climb so a big effort to make this one the best.

As usual hundreds of cars and bikes running the un timed hill (a public...
