    Re: Roadster shock absorbers

    Thanks Phil,
Yep there are a few, once you find one, you get equivalents. 1975-1980 Ford Granada Rear Gabriel Gas Shocks ext.17.7" Comp. 10.84" are a cross match. Cheap as dirt and almost as common....

    Re: Roadster shock absorbers

Hi all, If the SPAX are seizing up (they're pricey too), and a Triumph Herald is more obscure than a Marina, has anyone got a recommendation for a more current front shock for an old Marina kit?...
  3. Re: Roadster front lower damper bracket (Marina)

Know FastMarina well. Austin Powerless and 24hours of lemons are hilarious, never saw before. Getting tough to get stuff from the USA though. No Mark2s here that I know of. I'll keep trolling for...
  4. Re: Roadster front lower damper bracket (Marina)

Yep, these are the ones. Odd hole is the one you have to drill so someone might have mistaken the measurement.
  5. Re: Roadster front lower damper bracket (Marina)

Have a set, installed, but a friend wants a pair to upgrade a marina suspension. Lever dampers are a dying breed.
  6. Roadster front lower damper bracket (Marina)

Does anyone have a spare pair? Or perhaps know where they can be sourced?

Re: Marina wiring loom on eBay.

"I purchased a new full loom from PWS."

I recall seeing some recommendations for wiring looms specific for Marina roadsters. Can't find the reference now.
I remember that one provider had gone...

Re: Torsion Bar and Reaction Lever

Is there nothing to keep the torsion bar from sliding back into the passenger compartment? One snap ring keeps it from sliding forward, but I can't see what would keep it in place from moving...

Re: Torsion Bar and Reaction Lever

    Thanks to Martin and Dave!
Seems the older kits are "drill your own hole?". Saw a couple of Marinas at a local restorer yesterday and realized the end of the torsion bar locates in the larger hole....

Re: Torsion Bar and Reaction Lever

    Excellent photos Dave.
I have an early kit and a MK1 Marina donor. Trying to figure out how the Reaction Lever Retaining bolt goes. Have a large hole bored into the cross member (33mm dia.) and seem...

Re: Marina Compatible Front Discs and Diff.

Appears the MGB has a 1.5in spring and the Marina is 2 inches so different plates.

Re: Marina Compatible Front Discs and Diff.

No real problem with my diff except it is still sitting on my floor. Progress on the kit is slow and requires a lot of recovering lost parts, and freeing rusted ones. I'll check "Marina Superflex"...

Re: Marina Compatible Front Discs and Diff.

And now out of far left field (Vancouver), does the MGB banjo diff take the same spring hanger stuff as the Marina? I need some more of the plates from the U bolt attachment and thought I'd get new...

Re: Dumb Question? am I nuts?

Yep, agree to all. So basically the manual says replace all the nuts. Aware of "no stainless" and tensile strength issues. Am using loctite everywhere too, Would use Nylock in favour of ordinary hex...

    Dumb Question? am I nuts?

Wondering what "20 off each of 5/16 ins. and 3/8 ins. UNF plain full nuts" referred to in the manual are? Are these just ordinary hex nuts? or are they something different. By the way, has anyone...

    Re: radiator

Am searching for a Radiator for a Marina 1.8 Marlin Roadster. In Vancouver, so postage is an issue. Japanese/Korean parts are in the breakers yards as well as a bunch of small American cars. . Any...

    Re: Marina Calipers

Progress! The grease gun is a great idea, I'd have take the things around to a local brake shop for high pressure fluid if I could have gotten the bleeders out or the line fitting off. Someone...

    Marina Calipers

Am resurrecting an old kit. Unfortunately the donor bits have sat too long in a damp environment. Am looking for the easy way out since I can't get the @#$%& pistons to move in the brakes. There was...
