Stop messing and go for it, it will be brilliant!
  2. Re: A barely started Berlinetta kit in Scotland, V6 2.3 auto

And it's just up the road from you, go for it you know you want to! If I were younger I would!

    Re: IVA test

Check out 'Barely started Berlinetta' on the forum. The main problem is the way the Cortina cross member is fitted to the chassis. IVA regard it as a NO NO! But I think it is the nicest Tourer. I...
  4. Re: A barely started Berlinetta kit in Scotland, V6 2.3 auto

Looking closely at the front cross member, I'm not surprised the DVLA don't like it. I know it has stood the test of time but it does look a bit flimsy. My LocUst uses cortina front suspension parts...

  6. Re: A barely started Berlinetta kit in Scotland, V6 2.3 auto

Danny Nelson says the problem is the incorrect (compared to Cortina) fitting of the front cross-member. I don't understand why no one seems to have made an IVA acceptable replacement or have they? I...

    Re: Splined shaft

Is this anything to do with a post about the triangular fitting on a steering rack 'Old Guy with new car'?
  10. Re: Classsic Landrover Gathering, July 24-25

Sorry wrong forum late on, much beer! I did wonder where it was!
  11. Classsic Landrover Gathering, July 24-25

Is anyone out there thinking of going to the Gathering? I don't recall seeing any mention of it in the forum.

Steering bits, get a copy of Car Builder Solutions. I know I go on about it but it is a very useful catalogue of gear and knowledge. I have no connection with them except as a happy customer. The...

  14. Re: West Wycombe to Bolter End in the Marlin Cabrio. Watch out for pheasants!

Hi David. I see you used your car for a Delivery. I hope you have insurance for this. I used to be self-employed testing new water mains. The last part of the cycle was meeting a water company...

Re: New guy with old car.

Hi Smiffie, Welcome to the club, I remember that 'oh s##t oh s##t what have I bought?' feeling after buying a Landrover while heavily under the influence of Day Nurse. 'Just needs a bit of tidying, a...

    Re: Marlin roadster for restoration/project

Sold at £2400. Shame it was so late or I would have watched. With the end of lockdown in sight maybe people are in need of fun. Though maybe not this summer for that one. Anybody here bought it?
