    Re: MT75 Kwik shift

I just removed the stereo as I've never switched it on since I bought the car, don't even know if it worked before removal......

    Re: ebay Cabrio

Looks nice, like the engine installation, very tidy. Seats look a tad big for me and not in keeping but bet they are comfortable.

Re: New guy with old car.

"I shouldn't, but I want to say that the guy who owned this car should not be working on cars, at all. But horses for courses I guess. "

Funnily enough I've been saying that for years about the...

Re: Berlinetta Q547 MEV for sale

Personally I wouldn't trust this advert as far as I could throw it so to speak. If they are unable to actually post any up to date photos then you cannot guarantee that there's actually a car are...

    Re: Marlin on Gumtree

Well as we all know when you put a car up for sale you should start with the price that you are prepared to come down from, unlike houses its difficult to gazump car prices.....

    Re: Cabrio for sale

I just read it and thought "same colour as mine but never heard it called that before"....... :) It might be right if I ever have to get any paint touched up!

    Re: My New Colours

What about doing the interior in a contrasting colour? That way they will a) highlight each other and b) it won't run the risk of being a sea of purple. Obviously your car, your decision.

Four new tyre's where the front left hand is as flat as a pancake? New tyre's but most likely the cheapest they could buy.
  11. Re: Just suppose you have to tow your Marlin on a trailer...

He' needs to wait until lockdown is lifted and then get four burly mates over to help him push it on the trailer! :)

That way he doesn't need to worry about towing it.

    Seriously though, I...

    Re: Marlins a la Frog!

Just had to have a look. That's a good looking roadster, loving all the detail and the conversion to cycle wings, really suits the car.

    Re: Marlins a la Frog!

Judging by that exhaust the owner also has a souped up Subaru Impreza.....

One thing that often makes me smile is the effort people put in to making the seat backs look fancy and then just leave...

    Re: Ignition and door lock

Well why not expand the task and convert to electric windows whilst there?

Must admit I will be off to look at the strap attachment of my doors and that doesn't look too good. It would have made...

    Re: French connection

Well I must admit you've definitely got a very good point there Duncan. I've always seen it as the "Marlin Owners Club" with no hint of a "United Kingdom only" embedded in the title. Given that we...

Re: size of battery in A/H

I believe that's a high A/H motorbike battery, a lot of the Lotus 7 facing fraternity use them as they are both small and reliable, plus I believe they are solid state so you can pretty much mount...

Re: Marlin Hunter for Sale on Autotrader

I'm impressed with his statement "MINT CONDITION!!LOOK AT THE VIDEO BELOW!!".

I did look at the video and that's definitely not mint, far from it! Scruffy in places would be a better description.

    Re: Hard top wanted

I suppose the most difficult step would be to get a design that pleases everyone. The couple of examples I've seen on this thread to date wouldn't get me hurrying to get my cheque book. Its a case...

    Re: Hard top wanted

Actually a hard top may not be much better unless you make sure you install a pollen filter into your ventilation system.

Alternately stick with a Cabrio soft top and invest in some beconase.........

    Re: Hard top wanted

I'd be interested in seeing what price would be quoted. I'm of the opinion that if its well designed it could be of interest, certainly add the benefit for winter/autumn driving.

    Re: Hard top wanted

Yes, I too wonder how many Cabrio owners would be interested in a hard top? I know I would. Now whether or not I'd be prepared to go through the pain of making my own is another topic.
