Hi markj65. Welcome to the Club and forum. I know nothing about Romeros but good luck with getting her (him?) back on the road.

Another welcome to the Club, tomcat. Don't let autumn/ winter weather put you off going out in the Cabrio; just wear more layers!

    Re: 100+ Octavo alloy wheel

    Hi Jon,
Thanks for bringing these to my attention but I like the look of the Octavos so I am going to keep searching for another.

Re: Bargain Roadster on Car and Classic

Sorry about that. Should have recognized it but I usually go off reg nos. Stick to my opinion that it's worth more than the asking unless there's a problem with it.

Bargain Roadster on Car and Classic

Correctly registered. Needs and MOT. Assuming it's mechanically sound it looks to be worth far more than the £2,500 asking.

    Re: Speedometer gearing

I think what you really need is the number of turns per mile of the cable to the speedo. This is what Speedy Cables ask for to calibrate a speedo https://www.speedycables.com/speedometer-calibration/

Looking good DC. Must make a nice change from Marlins for you.
  11. Re: Marina based Roadster Lower Trunion grease cover gaiter

I don't know. I just checked the Marina parts list on stevejgreen's keepandshare site and searched for the part no. Perhaps asking on the fastmarina forum would provide more information?

    Re: Brake Callipers

If I hadn't just changed mine I would be all over these. Bargain at £60; must be worth at least double that.
  14. Re: Some nice videos of an early Roaster.

Great find. Definitely one to add to the video gallery. Would make a good sticky in the Roadster forum. I'll pm Mark and suggest.

Re: holding the bonnet halves up

Not brilliant images as they're snipped from a video I took at Stoneleigh some years ago but they may help. Also, if the owner of the car reads the forum he/ she may be able to provide better detail....

Got to agree with Liz. Fantastic photos and a truly inspiring travel log. Makes me want to set off in the Roadster now.
  17. Re: Marlin Roadster marina ital 1750 ALTERNATOR

If the bearing has gone I suspect there's a fair chance the rest of it isn't in great shape. In which case I would buy a new one; probably no more expensive than reconditioned.

    Try H Bowers...

Can't help you with your question but welcome to the Club and forum. I'm sure a Hunter/ Cabrio owner will be along soon with advice.
  19. Re: Mismatched fuel Sender to Fuel gauge

Fingers crossed but based on my limited knowledge of electronics I doubt it will read correctly across the gauge.

The best solution, albeit more expensive, is the Spiyda gauge wizard. Used one on...

    Marina ad from the 70s

Saw this in a montage of 70s ads for BL cars and thought some may appreciate seeing the clip.

    That's correct.

Any profile 185 should deal with that and the taller the sidewall the better to achieve a more classic look.
