    Thanks Chris,

I do remember some things, but there was SO MUCH stuff going on at shows, and much of the time we were 'stuck' (by choice) on the stand dealing with people and trying to promote...

Re: triumph 2500 engine and gearbox

That's interesting to me - that means that there must be a bellhousing conversion for Triumph 6 to type 9 gearbox available. All these years on, I reckon I should have bought a hybrid instead of...

    triumph 2500 engine and gearbox

I am interested did anyone (except me) ever fit either a 2500 engine, or a Saloon/TR6 gearbox in their Triumph or hybrid roadster? Or can I claim the Purple Peril was, and remains, unique ?

    Re: Cabrio blower annoyance

That brings back memories - stuff to double check.
    1) yes, those connections look VERY dodgy. As posted above, they should be spade connectors.
    2) check the resistor itself - I once had a problem...

    Re: Another quirky electrical question

For this kind of thing, you need to start from the basics and eliminate possible problems as you go. Have you got a multimeter ?? If not, it's a good idea to buy one. A basic one doesn't cost...

    Re: Temperature gauge

I do know that a Triumph Mk1 2000 sender (I think..) will fit in a Ford Cologne V6 and works well. Don't know if same thread in Pinto/Kent engine, but probably cheaper than a Holden one. You can...
  11. Hello from New Zealand from Andrew Priest (Purple Peril as was...)

Hi all, I hope there are still a few old-timers who remember me and Margaret from the 80s and 90s.... please say hello. The Purple Peril as was known... Was a mk1 roadster registered 1983. GT6...
