    I am no mechanic, but if it happened in wet weather and OK in dry, there may be wet affecting a relay or other part, especially if it blew a lot of fuses. Liz

    There doesn't seem to be a problem with our Sierra based Berlinetta which has been on the road since 1991. We never noticed any problem with Bluebelle after 70000 miles.
    The bracket looks strong...

    Yesterday enjoyed a 40 mile plus trip round Peak District with retail therapy in the sunshine. Quite glad we are not at Stoneleigh today as the rain lashes down!

    Merlins had solved problem by using some extra steelwork on the front of the chassis which bolted to the front of the crossmember. This would mean altering the bonnet sides to fit it in but I don't...
