Re: Clunking Differential - play/ backlash?

The place I contacted was TES transmissions http://www.testransmissions.co.uk/ in Westbury.

Re: Clunking Differential - play/ backlash?

    Hi Mick
If you have a meter that can measure amps and you want to have a go then I could generate a set of instructions.

    Re: Roadster Electrics

    Hi Mick,
The diode is just like a one way valve,it just lets electricity flow through it in one direction. Connecting it 'the wrong way round' will not damage it.
Your other problem with the fuel...

  10. Re: Just another bit General Knowledge required...

If you decide to change it depends on the new gauge
    a) Having long enough capillary to reach the temp sensor location
b)It having the same thread as the engine block

    Re: Fake Marlin in Auction?

I emailed Car & Classic about the car and got this reply:
    Hi Chris,

Thank you very much for your email.

After further investigation, it would appear that this is not a 'Marlin' kit car. We...

    Re: Roadster Screen Installation

When I was a student many years ago my Mini stopped showing the fuel level. Being hard up I dropped a golf ball in the tank. When you can hear it rolling around it is time for more fuel.:D

  14. Re: Is the Marlin Cabrio fuel tank baffled?

My carbrio tank (2003) has a small dished area at the bottom in the centre of the tank and that is where the fuel pick up point is. I run with a low pressure pump at the back and a high pressure pump...
  15. Re: Do you know much about the Ford i4 8 valve DOHC engine?

Can't remeber as such but Haynes says "On DOHC
models, the sender is located at the front of
    the inlet manifold (see illustration)."

  18. Seirra 3.6 diff - free to a good home

  19. Re: Cabrio 205 Pinto Engine Squeaky Fan Belt.

    Hi,
Are you sure the belt has teeth, or does it consist of a set of grooves, which I think is usual for this engine/alternator combination.
I think the noise is cause by the belt slipping slightly...

Re: Fuel lines and wheel arches

I ran my fuel lines through copper pipe that was mounted in the transmission tunnel to make sure it was out of harms way.
I also fitted an inertial fuel cut off switch to the fuel pumps.
