    Re: Torremolinos Roadster

I have seen that car before about 5 years ago i think.

Spanish number plates of that style are not age related, but are simply sequential.
i have some approximate dates I will look up later.

    Re: Numb bum...

Ebay links have a habit of expiring. Better to link direct to the supplier themselves, where there is usually far more information and it will survive as long as the company does.

  4. Re: New (old) Member. History of Marlin Roadster Q285 AVO.

You could wait for the MOC webmaster to appear.

But for specific issues like a windscreen surround, start a thread specific to that, and let the subject die on this thread.
    It would be far more...
  5. Re: New (old) Member. History of Marlin Roadster Q285 AVO.

I would agree with a roadster, not so much for protecting your knuckles but more to ensure you have a full capacity of coolant, with no airlocks.
if I was to start again a custom alloy rad would be...

Re: I must stop hitting Policemen:-

Sleeping policemen or as many nations call them are becoming increasingly common.
i understand the principle and accept that there is a need in particular areas, but there seems to be no European...
  7. Re: New (old) Member. History of Marlin Roadster Q285 AVO.

When I had my Viva radiator recored I took the opportunity to have the correct neck to fit the correct double sealed cap.
I also had a drain plug fitted so I could drain the system in a controlled...

    Re: Shop around for insurance.

Agreed. When self employed, if I could earn more money instead of spending hours on the phone to save some loose change, I would prefer to earn.
Often wonder whether saving a few pounds is worth it...

    Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car Show

Trump had a great idea. Injecting disinfectants will either
    1. stop you from dying from covid
2, increase the world populations IQ.

I am part of the high risk group. I am going to do nothing to...

    Re: Stoneleigh Kit Car Show

Bearing in mind the average age group of Marlin owners, a marquee would be potentially catastrophic.
That is unless you inject disinfectant first!

Re: Noise front front left wheel

Good advice. In my experience many MOT testers have been known to fail classic vehicles with what they judge (by modern standards) to be excessive play.
Over tightening the wheel bearings can cause...

Re: Noise front front left wheel

Is this a Triumph or Marina based car, I’m guessing Marina as its a LWB?
I would assume that it’s wheel bearing or brakes, it’s impossible to diagnose better because I can’t hear it, sorry.

Re: 3 Core Viva Radiator Wanted.

Lots of places, but sometimes hard to find. The best ones in my experience do classic car ones, that might help.

Re: Gearbox Information and Brakes Advice

Syncro in all four, but not reverse.
I would suggest stripping the box first to count the various teeth in the dog clutches and gears themselves to make sure you buy the right ones.

The gearbox is Triumph derived so many internal parts are available from Triumph parts dealers, Rimmer Bros, probably the biggest, but their might be someone in your area. The problem area is the...

  21. Re: Marlin roadster stormforce car cover for outdoor

UV is a real problem for vehicles stored outside, even in apparent shade, UV gets reflected far easier than visible light. Tyres can be a real problem, they are generally partially exposed whatever...
  22. Re: Marlin roadster stormforce car cover for outdoor

Never seen that before, good find.

I keep a motorcycle outside protected by a similar cover, it’s OK but not brilliant.

Re: Unobtanium or clutch release arm.

Good luck with that. It’s a Marina only part, if you can find one, it will be premium priced unless someone is extremely generous.
