Re: Lockheed 7" trailer brake rubber boots

    Hi Tony.
At least you have an ID number on the rubber boot.

Searching for Lockheed 32324 gives two leads.

    Re: Brake pipe flaring.

Hi Martin. Ball joint boots will probably have too small a hole. The Triumph TR sports cars had similar fulcrum lower steering swivel. Have a look at Triumph TR4 seals below. Peter.

    Re: Brake pipe flaring.

Hi Martin. Thats great thanks. It makes a very neat and symmetrical flare. Will also avoid the nasty clamp marks around the pipe that I get with mine. Peter.

    Re: Brake pipe flaring.

I am also looking for a better brake flare tool. Where did you get your second compact one? There are several places that supply ones that look the same as yours, but I would be reassuring to get the...

    Re: Battery

The battery in my Rover V8 Hunter is in the boot. It is a Varta D59, link below for details. It has always had this model battery fitted and it turns the V8 over no probs. The previous one lasted 10...

    Re: Brake pipe installation.

The pipe flare must match the fitting that it is being connected to. A single flared pipe will be used with a fitting that has a countersunk face at the bottom of the threads. A double flare needs a...

Re: Hunter hood, header bar stowage?

Mine used to fit horizontally, prongs facing forward, on the rear “shelf” just underneath the seat belt spools. However since I fitted a proper shelf with toolboxes incorporated thats not possible....

While looking for info on foam for another project I stumbled upon these two websites which may be of interest. The first is about foam. Not all foam is the same!

Re: Noise front front left wheel

Hi Michael. From your first post you imply that the noise started suddenly i.e. between the last time you drove the car (no noise) and the next time (noise heard)? If you still have the original...

Re: Noise front front left wheel

Maybe a silly question but why is tyre rubbing impossible? Presumably you have checked that no wiring or brake hose has become loose and nothing has been picked up from the road and wedged in...

    Re: Grease gun warning

This type of grease gun nozzle is designed to lock on to the grease nipple as you say. In doing so it provides a very good seal. To remove it requires the nozzle to be leaned over sideways to release...

Just a thought. I have often wondered how much space is taken up on servers (and on all forums, not just this one) by people clicking on “reply with quote”. As a result the previous say six photos of...
