Re: Exeter Trial 2022 Simms Hill

Brilliant! Please explain why some cars barrelled round the bottom corner and up the hill and others stopped at a yellow flag?. Then started up. Was it because the track wasn't clear? Great to see...

    Re: Shed and Buried

Sorry, no and I don't suppose you fancy Burton's struts @£250 each! As the owner of a Rickman Ranger, as well as my Roadster, I know good, used Escort bits are hen's teeth. Danny at DW car spares in...

    Re: Steering column position

Franklin, thank you for your 'tatty cosmetics'. At last, I know that my electrics aren't the only ones in a state of 'constant development'! I like the angle of the Marina steering wheel.

Re: Light Bar - or headlamp mounts

IMHO, I liked the light bar on an early Alfa that had a raised centre section for a 'cyclops' light. Sorry, no pics.

Re: Garage refurb and back to the car

Very nice lighting are those lights LED? I would suggest a fan heater rather than radiators. you can drag it around to where you are working. You do seem to have a well insulated workshop, very nice...

    Re: WANTED

Or get a spare wheel cover that will hide the oddball wheel and also protect it from UV degradation. From personal experience, when you have a flat tyre any wheel is good!

    Re: Seat Reinforcement

On my Roadster, I made wedges 1/2" to 2" to go under both the seats, tipping them back by 2". I then fastened 'strap tee' hinges to the driver's seat, which means I can tip it forward to access...

Obviously as Steve Green points out, the Roadster is a very...

Re: Marlin suspension front and rear

I've had a few Marinas and I found a big meaty anti-roll bar made them handle very well, for a 'cooking' saloon car. Understeer was almost eliminated.

Re: Marlin suspension front and rear

If there is a supply problem with torsion bars, might it be time to think about wishbones and Coilovers? I know it has been mentioned before.

Re: Brake Servo failure, Marina based Roadster

From my own experience with a leaking hose, the engine is running lean. With a good hose and servo, the brakes were ferocious. Now the servo is not working and the manifold connection is blanked, the...
