    Dave,You dont need to split the hub all you need to do is disconnect the brake lines and handbrake cable then undo the four back plate bolts put the wheel back on loose and use it like a slide hammer...

    The overdrive should only actuate when the car is in 3rd or 4th gear so having the switch on in neutral wouldn't make any difference.

    As the maximum draw would be around 450amps then the 485amp cable will leave a margin for overload.

    If you are fitting the terminals your self then make sure you get a good connection.
