    The rear, windscreen back, looks to have been tended to but yes the engine bay sections need work which I hope to do when the engine is out.

    Glovebox reshape

    Scratching around for small jobs prior to Kop Hill Climb. Decided to reshape the glovebox to get it to align better with the dashboard.

    There were £50 each, blasted, checked for cracks and damage, tidied up, then powder coated. Tyres are Falcon's £45 each. Slightly annoying that their wheel balancer wouldn't do 13" wheels!

    It is a lot of money, but I have 3 quotes now all similar amounts to drive the car in, get it stripped down, engine and box rebuilt and then put back together. £2k is labour which sounds reasonable...

    Thanks Ben, I wonder who actually does the work? The guys I’m talking to are saying they do the dis and reassembly after testing and machining. So this looks like the going rate then!

    Yes VAT include, No go fast bits, just straight forward refurbishment, that labour cost is the removal and refit.

    Have seen the options, £600 for parts, £1500 an eBay engine etc and discounted...
