    You need two valves, one to cut off the flow to the heater and one to maintain the flow that would have gone through the heater to maintain the coolant circulation during warm up till the thermostat...

    You can only anodise alluminium and magnesium and some titanium alloys, plateing is a different process.

    My floor is ½" marine ply bolted and silicone sealed in. The runners have a block under the front to tip the seat back a bit, about 1" high.

    Are you mounting on the back or front of the rad. Martin? It's much better on the back as it impedes the natural air flow less.

    I used to have that setup but when the switch gave up I replaced it with this in the top hose. Been fine since. Switch was 95/85 one.
    Usually if the fan's running when I stop, which isn't very...
