    Re: LED rear lights

It went through IVA with the lights that way round, as in my first photo.

The recessed hole is symetrical so I only need to remove the lights and rotate them 180 degrees.
    But the...
  5. Re: Raceline water rail, Zetec engine and overheating.

Yes its all sorted, the hole did the trick.
The raceline water rail is machined so that is is nearly impossible to put the stat in the wrong way round.
  6. Raceline water rail, Zetec engine and overheating.

My experiment to determine if the fan was coming on when the engine was getting hot was documented in another thread Got-puzzled continued with the engine getting hotter.
I have a Zetec engine with...

    Re: LED rear lights

Yes, sealed units, if they break the only solutions is complete replacement. But LEDS seem very reliable.

    Re: Got puzzled

Can't remeber exactly how I did it but I used a combination of diodes to control the reversing lamp so that it would only come on when the ignition and lights were on. Initial attempt meant that if...

  19. Re: Using an engine stand...advice please.

Having done a cylinder head twice on the DOHC engine although with the radiator removed there is a reasonable amount of space to work at the front of the engine it is quite uncomfortable trying to...

    Ye Ol Ripper,
    Thanks for that.

    1. I may try running an earth directly from the engine to the battery.
    2. When starting I always wait for the fuel pump to prime, it runs for about 5 seconds.
