    Re: Fan Rotation

From decades gone by the idea of a trailing edge fan was to reduce noise, but blades can be designed in either direction and most fan manufacturers don’t bother to mark that on the fan itself.
    i...
  2. Re: Roadster: 2ltr Ford Pinto engine with fast road cam

I believe that in the EU, a car that can be proved by official documentation to be over 30 years old can be classified as such with a ‘historic’ number plate.
    Especially important if it’s ESCA...
  3. Re: Roadster: 2ltr Ford Pinto engine with fast road cam

Milland is a village near Chichester, Sussex. So presumably driven from there to Holland as it was previously in Yorkshire.

But something is still odd about this car, it seems to have passed...

  5. Re: New thread on Marina to Ford Type 9 gearboxes

One of the fun facts about vbulletin forums is that even is a post is deleted, it’s content, when quoted in a later post, still remains for all to see.

It makes me wonder, just what about his own...
  6. Re: New thread on Marina to Ford Type 9 gearboxes

You personally, have never, by your own admission, observed my archive content at Keepandshare.
Please do so, you might be pleasantly surprised.
First hand information is so much more accurate, you...
  7. Re: New thread on Marina to Ford Type 9 gearboxes

Paul, I really get very tired of your criticism of what you understand to be my activities on Keepandshare. I suggest that before you criticise again, that you have a look yourself and then make...
  8. Re: New thread on Marina to Ford Type 9 gearboxes

I rather think it’s the other way around.

I have accumulated a great deal of data, specifically related to Marina Based Roadsters, that I willingly share with interested parties on Keepandshare,...

    Engine lifts can be hired.

Or, you could go fully Ford with a Zetec Inside.

So far, negative comments suggest that I was right to close my original thread. Was that what was intended?

Re: Marina B series camshaft swap

The problem area is not just the cowl, it’s the steering rack being mounted ahead of the engine.

I looked at the job, doing it in situ and came to the conclusion that engine out was the way to go....
  12. Re: New thread on Marina to Ford Type 9 gearboxes

There is insufficient information in any of my threads or in this 5speedmarina archive or in Pitstop for people to copy the project without repeating the full exercise from scratch, making the...

Re: Roadster Rebuild Diary from Cornwall

Except that numerous forum entries and Pitstop articles tell a long history of overheating. Recognised by Paul Moorehouse as well!

Re: Roadster Rebuild Diary from Cornwall

I don’t think it makes much difference, it will spin in the airflow anyway, and if needed it will turn on maybe a fraction earlier.

There is a debate though that curve bladed fans are more...

    Re: Electric power...

I think setup costs would be ridiculously prohibitive unless you are already in the industry,
Its a nice idea, but very much a one off enterprise.
Anything with less than 100 mile endurance would...

Re: Marina B series heater take off

Can’t offer any advice, the MGB Version fits, but I would generally advise that it’s left wide open, like the mini take off, just for the extra cooling effect.

    Re: BRITAX Rear Light Screws

i am surprised by Halfords, but a very limited choice 4BA and 2BA only.

Until we have more data, it’s impossible to be certain, but Britax being a long standing U.K. company, it’s more than likely...

    Re: BRITAX Rear Light Screws

There is every chance that you are looking for a BA thread, the nearest to a UNF 10 would be a 2BA..
finding them in mainstream outlets will be rare. Your best bet is to look at Model Engineering...
  24. Re: Check you upper wishbone mount rods now and again, plus new bushes

I know of no universal standard colour code that can be applied to suspension bushes, certainly not Superflex.
Powerflex however offer four colours Red, Yellow, Purple and Black in increasing...

A slightly stronger grade of stainless compared with of 304, the commonest stainless, is 302. Same corrosion resistance but a slightly higher carbon content.
