    Re: Greetings & Wheels

That is a lovely looking car and I agree with you it does need different wheels. Where was the photo taken?

That is the point Steve, Probably since the dawn of personal transport people have customised their vehicle even to John Lennon's Royce (Ugh, to my mind, but, hey!) If you have enough money Bentley...

    Re: Gear stick upgrade

My gearchange is very similar to ListerJP2 as is the detent. So far it works well with no problems. The gear lever needs moving forwards a few inches, I don't know how it came to be so far back....

Chris, Bin there dun that, still do. Yes, Steve, we do bypass the beginnings, but for some people that will be their first (of many?) Manual and in 50 yrs a grandchild will ask 'Grandad what's a...

Re: Haynes Publishing and the increase of Vehicle electronics

The idea of making things idiot-proof just leads to the development of bigger idiots. People are both risk averse and unwilling to accept responsibility for their own actions. How many people check...

The technology of modern cars does it for me. I have the manual for our 58 Citroen Berlingo. When the heater fan stopped I looked at the manual. Then rang an auto electrician. He took a load of dash...

Re: Roadster swb MGB engine and gearbox help

Interesting project behind the Marlin. From past experience, it is better to get the engine sorted before surrounding it with pannels. They do restrict access. I do believe that over about 60 MPH...

I have a stack of them, but I must say I don't like the new ones as much as the old hardback ones. The new thinner cheaper (?) paper and paperback don't seem as easy to understand. Or maybe I just...

    Re: New Marlin owner

My opinion, for what its worth. Do what you have to to get it running and put some miles on it. Then you will know what it needs and you will know a lot more about it.

Hi Twinstacks, This is one of the many joys of resurrecting a neglected kit car. You don't know if it worked when it was left or was it dumped because OP couldn't fix it. Sometimes lash it up till it...
