    Re: Seat Reinforcement

Well it is a bit hard to describe, and impossible to photograph, but here goes describing what I did when I fitted my seats:
The seat runners are mounted on a length of 1x1 steel box section tube....

Re: Cabrio front suspension bush renewal

    Hi Phil,
I have only replaced the ARB bushes (Both inboard and at the TCA)
No real issues except needing to squeeze the ends of the ARB to get them through the TCAs. You have a ratchet strap so...

    Re: Wrong Battery??

    Well!
I've got a budget Drivetech battery (whoever they are) which is rated at 40AH and 330CC.
It worked OK for the DOHC Sierra engine, and using the same starter motor with the Zetec engine works...

    Re: M52TU Alterantives

I see you are active on MadAboutKit cars. I seem to remember a user called Timbo had similar issues a few years ago.
  9. Re: Heater blower / fan switch Cabrio wiring

Sorry Bill, I used the standard Sierra heater controls including the switch.
  10. Re: Fuel pump and ignition circuit fuse blowing on mu Cabrio. Help!

Cut out switch is a very good idea. I got mine from Car Builder solutions.
However it is most unlikely to be causing the fuse to blow.
Unfortuantely I would hazard a guess that either the fuel pump...

Re: Hunter hood, header bar stowage?

My bar stows nicely in the garage. It is a pain to carry and a pain to put in place.

    Re: Hunter rear springs

That is interesting, I've just looked at my Marlin build manual (dated 2001) and is does not mention cutting the springs, but does tell you how to adjust the ride height since the spring platform...

    Hi Bill
The DOHC engine had a two stage thermostatic switch as some models had two fans and they came on at different temperatures.

I would be tempted to join the black/blue and black/red...

    Re: Wiper Information please.

I'll second Dave's suggestion. If you know the length then Halfords have a huge range.

Re: summer meet at Cleave farm

With the weather forecasts indicating a strong possibilty of rain at some point during the day, a leaky Marlin would not be my idea of fun so I will regretably give the event tomorrow a miss.

If you can not find one, then since the screen is flat, search for a local Plant and agricultural windscreen repairs/fitters. A good one can cut a screen to fit on site.

    Re: who was bob Moorhouse?

    Bit more about UK registration…
If you build a car out of new components then it gets a registration for the current year.
If you build a car and the major components (there is a points scoring...
  23. Re: Cabrio - hunter stress fracture safety warning

HAZ = Heat Affected Zone. It goes brittle after welding compared with the normal ductile material.
  24. Re: Cabrio - hunter stress fracture safety warning

Could just be the effect of HAZ, you don't know how far the zone extends.
