  1. Re: Bonnet catches, anyone recognize this one

Well based on Peterx's recommendation (impressive memory) the following site may be worth a look.

    Re: Ricco

You haven't specified where the leak is showing inside. Is it near bottom of door etc.

I had a leak on my Cabrio and it was caused by the seal between the roof and windscreen top failing to seal....

    Re: Suggestions for 215/60r15 tyres

Run 205/55/17 Kumho's on my Mini Cooper S. I know its not an identical match but I find that they are really good all round tyres and a good price.

I'm expecting to re-shoe my Cabrio next year and...

Re: Hunter for sale in Bournemouth

That's interesting, that's the one I just missed buying many years ago. I was in the process of selling my TVR Chimaera to release some cash. Ended up buying my current car from Danny. Still...
  5. Re: High level LED brake lights and indicators

I suspect the issue with your original indicators not being clearly seen may be due to the angle of the rear wing that they are installed on. Certainly they are not that easily seen in your video.
  6. For anyone who needs some inspiration

    Re: Fake Marlin in Auction?

This has already been discussed at great length on the Marlin FB page. It's intended to look like a Vincent but could be based on a Marlin chassis. It's quite a nice car and quality looks...

    Re: Cabrio bumpers

I've also considered having the front bumper support plate made out of stainless sheet as the steel one supplied does need attention for rust when the paint gets stone chips. I seem to remember a...

    Re: ebay Cabrio

Looks nice, like the engine installation, very tidy. Seats look a tad big for me and not in keeping but bet they are comfortable.

Re: New guy with old car.

"I shouldn't, but I want to say that the guy who owned this car should not be working on cars, at all. But horses for courses I guess. "

Funnily enough I've been saying that for years about the...

Re: Berlinetta Q547 MEV for sale

Personally I wouldn't trust this advert as far as I could throw it so to speak. If they are unable to actually post any up to date photos then you cannot guarantee that there's actually a car are...

    Re: Marlin on Gumtree

Well as we all know when you put a car up for sale you should start with the price that you are prepared to come down from, unlike houses its difficult to gazump car prices.....

I just read it and thought "same colour as mine but never heard it called that before"....... :) It might be right if I ever have to get any paint touched up!

    Re: My New Colours

What about doing the interior in a contrasting colour? That way they will a) highlight each other and b) it won't run the risk of being a sea of purple. Obviously your car, your decision.

Four new tyre's where the front left hand is as flat as a pancake? New tyre's but most likely the cheapest they could buy.
  19. Re: Just suppose you have to tow your Marlin on a trailer...

He' needs to wait until lockdown is lifted and then get four burly mates over to help him push it on the trailer! :)

That way he doesn't need to worry about towing it.

    Seriously though, I...

Just had to have a look. That's a good looking roadster, loving all the detail and the conversion to cycle wings, really suits the car.

Re: Marlin Hunter for Sale on Autotrader

I'm impressed with his statement "MINT CONDITION!!LOOK AT THE VIDEO BELOW!!".

I did look at the video and that's definitely not mint, far from it! Scruffy in places would be a better description.
