  • Mini Marlin (or: how I've filled a few days whilst at home ill)

What a Project! Really pleased with the results. Always wanted to build an RC marlin. And this last flu's kept me house-bound for a few days - giving me the chance...

I started with a ROUGH 26-year-old Tamiya Holiday Buggy off of ebay, some sheet styrene, and plenty of random bits and bobs from around the house (e.g. some random IKEA packaging for the windows, cut-up coke can bottoms for the headlamp lenses, etc). Then applied a good deal of head-scratching, cutting, shaping, gluing, taping, painting, etc. But hey -all good!

    Runs great too!

    Anyone else built model marlins?

    Hi Ty
Not a bad effort, a couple of years ago Hugh Allen held a competition for building a model Marlin for the Dartmoor run I think a mag had a pic but I cant find it.
I have a half built abandoned attempt and a lotus 7 kit I intended to modify. Wouldnt it be great if someone could produce a really good short run scale model or dinky toy. Hope your better regards Ben
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!
