I'm actively searching for an existing car, roadster or cabrio, however prior to taking the plunge, as I live abroad I need to know if the following is possible.

On the technical side, can an existing Right hand drive roadster, be converted to Left hand drive, do the parts still exist, is this within the abilities of a competant mechanic, what major issues are there, do the mountings exist between models (as per mainstream production cars) or is each kit supplied with mountings as required, in which case what major modifications would be required, steering rack, pedal box etc.

On another note, has anyone managed to re register an existing car abroad, and what difficulties did they encounter.

      Hi Guys

I think I can point you in the direction of someone who exported their Marlin to France in 1992 and converted it to a left hand drive. They are not an active memner of the Club now but I will forward your details to them and hope that they make contact with you.
