  • Department of transport initiative, June 2010. Too late for Pitstop

    Department of transport initiative, June 2010.

    Information release;
    There is concern over the current driving standards in England, so the D.O.T. have devised a scheme to identify poor and dangerous drivers.

    This system will allow road users to recognise the potentially hazardous and dangerous ones, or those with limited driving skills!

    From 1st June, 2010, all drivers who are found to be a potential hazard to other road users, will be issued with a WHITE flag, bearing a RED cross. This flag will clearly indicate their inability to drive properly.

    These flags must be clipped to a door of the car, and be clearly visible to all other drivers and pedestrians.

    Those drivers who have shown particularly poor driving skills will have to display TWO flags,one on each side of the car,to indicate an even greater lack of skill and limited driving intelligence!

    Please circulate this information to as many other motorists as you can, so that drivers and pedestrians will be aware of the meaning of these flags.

    Thank you for your co-operation, the Department of Transport.

    I am not sure what is going on in our government. I received and email today from a government department studying population health trends in the UK.
    It appears that the department is worried about the average size of the standard British male appendage which appears to be suffering a gradual reduction. Data needs to be gathered to ascertain the facts of the problem. It has asked that any British male with a size less than 3" display a white flag with red cross aver a rear window of their car. Roadside cameras will then gather this information for further use.
    I can see that the departments are not communicating with each other, or maybe.........

      The D.O.T. have further increased their notification of such drivers. So that you are aware that they may suddenly appear on the road, the premises from which they emerge will also display a white flag with a red cross. The ammount displayed being in inverse proportion to the driving skill.
