      Re: Wind deflector

Hi Keith. Try www.classicadditions.com. They have a range of wind deflectors and may make one to size.

        Re: Wind deflector

        Hi Keith
Have just bought off fleabay Mercedes SLK part No A17186000 cost £8.40 inc post
It is a good fit across the roadster width!
This part is only the net bit with no framework so am in the middle of designing a way off setting it up(nearly there!)
Will post more when fitted and tested.
        Regards
        Bryan

          Re: Wind deflector

          Hi Keith
All fitted and working pretty good
Using above Mercedes part(Another on ebay No 330477127848)
          Only £4.99 +p&p (£70+ new I beleive)
I cut small slots in padded sections about an inch and a half from top and bottom,Got my wife to sew(not my forte see)the top centre portion on itself to form a tube,Threaded a length of 7mm flexible fibreglass rod(from cable access reel) end to end with spare to fit through hood frame holes down to chassis,When happy with fit I replaced poppers with "lift the dot"fittings which fit to my existing hood studs,Made short straps with same fittings to keep tension at back,Existing string loops shortend with knot worked o/k at 80+ but will be replaced to match others when I have earned some more "brownie points"(Now where did I leave that paint brush!!)
Retains full access to rear storage!!
          Pics may help to understand!
          Regards
          Bryan

Well done Bryan - is there no end to the inventiveness of Marlin owners

PS the 80+ refers to kph of course!!
