  • Cranleigh Lions Car Show on 21/8/2011

    Hi,
I will be at the Cranleigh Lions Car Show on August 21st 2011 with my Berlinetta on display.
Are there any club members attending?
It’s a great friendly show for charity.

    There web site:-
    http://www.cranleighlions.org/classic-car-show.php

    By Car
By car it is most easily reached from the A281 Guildford to Horsham road, or the A24 Dorking to Horsham road. From the M25 leave at junction 9 (Leatherhead), follow the A24 southbound, then the A29, the B2126 at Ockley and then the B2127. Alternatively leave at junction 10 and travel via the A3 and Guildford.

If you are using satellite navigation the nearest post code is GU6 7DW.

I had great day out and a chance to meet MOC members.

My Marlin Berlinetta had a lot of interest from the public.

This is a must do for me next year!

Some picture of Marlins on the day.

It was a good day, excellent weather, a few tiny drops pf rain. Loads of cars, shame many of the same marque were not parked together.
Good to meet other owners, members or not.

Next year I will plan it better and have less cars infront of my garage on the day before so will take the roadster up instead of a Toyota.

I would have come along but the Marlin is in the garage for the MOT and some surgery. It will be all good again for Cornwall in a couple of weeks :-)

Martin - I have taken the liberty of downloading copies of the pics for possible use in a future Pitstop. Please confirm this is OK with you, and is there any chance you could put together a few words to go with the pics?
                          Many Thanks dcunn(at)btinternet.com

Hi Martin, Excellent day out thanks and good to meet everyone even if we were spread around a bit. I didnt wash a thousand miles of the Lakes trip off just to give it that extra well used look. Cracking run home and note made in diary for next year.
Ben Caswell probably not the last word on anything here!!

Further to my message above, I've just realised my deadline is 16 Sept, not Oct, and as we go away on 12th Sept I've really boxed myself into a corner, so please Martin (and Ben?) I would appreciate a few words to put in the mag. Thanks again, DC
