Have looked at this in detail and have decided that I will go the Sharrock Supercharging route as this give excellent power with very little mods to the engine.

You get the power throughout the power range unlike a Turbo.

Nearly doubles the horsepower at only 7psi.

once fitted I will let you know the outcome.

Where did you find the supercharger Adrian?

Someone in the States discovered that you can fit the head from a 16 valve BMW K series bike engine to the A series block. There are kits of parts to do this, some have done it on a DIY basis. Give similar power to supercharger or turbo.

            Hi Peter,

Thanks for those, it would be good to see if we could get some real life experiences with these.

Dons Idea looks promising as well, didn't know about that one.

New Year Project here we come.

Cracking idea, the supercharger but it would need a lot of surgery round the side panel. Franklin, Leicester.

What I meant was that Shorrocks are no longer in business, the last one I saw on Ebay went for over £3K. The one pictured by Peter X is I think an adaptation of the current Mini Cooper, Rootes type blower, I would love to know where the adapter came from.

Shorrocks did do a bigger one for the MGB enegine.

Most of the ones I have been looking at are going for the £750 mark
