    To quote Hagrid from Harry Potter;

    a point worth remembering once the border opens up again
    of course.. that will mean that instead of the freedom of the open road , the Marlin will be the meat in a Camper van sandwich wherever you go.. and the north coast 500 will be as full as the M25 except it’s single tack roads with two way traffic and passing places... with over 50% of their drivers lacking the experience patience courtesy and anticipatory skills to know when to pull in to a passing place for oncoming traffic and the resultant gridlocks that occurred last summer where neither car can go back to the last space due to a nose to tail queue behind them.

    hey ho!!!

    I just keep on singing the last two lines of Bohemian Rhapsody... it helps!!
    We did the North Coast 500 in 2016 could see then what problems would be occurring in the future pretty much what you say.
    It was enjoyable then, 2017 we did the Causeway Coast then over the border to some of the Atlantic Way which was as enjoyable

    Well it was yesterday really...
    After removing the steering wheel and discovering it is almost impossible to remove a Sierra pedal assembly complete I managed to extract just the clutch pedal to replace the toothed adjuster which occasionally slipped as a couple of teeth had worn.
    Then I managed to break one of the circlips so now I am waiting for 250 assorted circlps to turn up from Amazon today.
    Anyone want 249 surplus circlips?
    Cabrio, Omex 2.0l 170bhp Zetec blacktop, Omex ECU and wiring loom.

    Yesterday enjoyed a 40 mile plus trip round Peak District with retail therapy in the sunshine. Quite glad we are not at Stoneleigh today as the rain lashes down!

    Drove the Cabrio up to Cromford for a walk along the canal and picnic lunch in the sunshine yesterday. Wouldn't have even dreamt of attempting it today or Stoneleigh .

    Took our Cabrio to Orford in Suffolk last Thursday and did a 6 mile walk followed by a pub (in the garden) lunch. Only about 15 miles each way from home but good to be using the car again. As has already been said I would not have wanted to be at Stoneleigh today. Still waiting to hear from the organisers what their plans are for later in the year.

    Well over the last few weeks. Took a drive, heard a an intermittent vibration noise, strange smell of some rubber, slowed down and as I stopped the front nearside mudguard flipped over the top of the wheel.....ooops! thank the lord for a tool roll and cable ties. So pulled the guard back into place and semi permanent repair to get home. Subsequent visit to a man with a welder, stripped it all off and welded the bracket, also put a rib on the back of the plate for some added strength. It worked for the off side when that broke. Bit of paint and sorted. Then some strange scratches on the rear wings, bit of a filler, bit of 3000 wet and dry, bit of paint, that's sorted as well.
