Thank guys .. yes a stainless finish .. low gloss..

A little bit Marlin-related, took ULA (both of them) out for a drive locally, had a long walk around an estuarial RSPB bird sanctuary, (where were they all)?
On the way home, had a sudden urge to see if a local pub was open, it was!
Had a great pint of real ale and a very filling Ham-egg-n-chips, socially-distanced, of course!
Since I’ve been locked away in hospital (and tea-total) for very nearly four months, today was a very special day indeed! Thank you Marlin.
Looks like a good day out. Nice to see some sense of normality creeping back into our lives and Marlin cars playing their part in it.

Well it was yesterday..
MOT pass. No advisories.
Last year the garage I usually use failed it because even with a CAT the emissions were too high for an engine running on carburettors, which is what it was using in the original build. So last year I had a specialist remap the Omex ECU and MOT the car.
This year my regular garage decided that as it was a kit car to just give it a smoke test.
The other conundrum is last year an advisory was that the rear springs were rusty. This year using the regular garage the same springs were not mentioned at all.
Life is strange.
Same here Cabrio MOT yesterday no advisories.
I went somewhere exotic12EB3250-46AE-4BD6-91CA-68F9FBD68F6A.jpg12EB3250-46AE-4BD6-91CA-68F9FBD68F6A.jpg
Ah nostalgia!!
of course in Scotland even one pint puts you well over the new limit; so totally teetotal marlining has been the order of the day for several years now
a point worth remembering once the border opens up again
of course.. that will mean that instead of the freedom of the open road , the Marlin will be the meat in a Camper van sandwich wherever you go.. and the north coast 500 will be as full as the M25 except it’s single tack roads with two way traffic and passing places... with over 50% of their drivers lacking the experience patience courtesy and anticipatory skills to know when to pull in to a passing place for oncoming traffic and the resultant gridlocks that occurred last summer where neither car can go back to the last space due to a nose to tail queue behind them.
hey ho!!!
I just keep on singing the last two lines of Bohemian Rhapsody... it helps!!
Here’s a place in Shetland ( there is also one in Orkney) that might or might not be worth a visit ?
