Re: Marlins in the marches - august bank holiday

    Hi Rob & Terresa,

We can't really say any more than has already been said. We had a great time and look forward to next year. Geoff & Jan.

Re: Marlins in the marches - august bank holiday

Hi All who atended Marlins in the Marches,

We called on Wendy (Campsite owner) a few days ago and she is looking so much better, and has returned to work and driving again. She was delighted with the "Get Well" card, thrilled with the descriptions of the the people signing the card, i.e. "60", "the one who parked in the other field", "the one with the hair" etc. She said as poorly as she felt, every time she glanced the card on her bedside table - it made her smile.

She raised for "the Little Princess Trust" a total of £139 - mostly made up by "the load a Marlin" game and other donations by members.

Thank you all for your support.

        Rob & Terresa

Very glad to hear Wendy is feeling better. She wanted a photo of the cars. If she needs one I can send mine but there may be better ones about. Regards Liz IOM

            HI Liz,

I did send a photo of the cars to her just after the event, so I think she is happy.

Are you able to put one on the forum?

            Thanks

                  Nice photo's!

Those seats in the un-painted Sportster look comfy.
Does anybody know what they are?

                      Hi Peter

Putting 2 +2 together, I wonder if this is the ex Rob Dorey E36 M50 Sportster bought by Colin Barratt?

Did Rob keep a MAKC thread on his build which might give a clue as to what his seats were?

                        Hi Mike,

Yes this is Colins car - he also took the photos (although he is in one of them!!!) apparently parts of it are now painted green, he has kept the bonnet shiny aluminium. Have not seen it but heard on the grapevine.

                            Hi Both
We will book with Wendy after the AGM.
We should be there over the weekend
